Solo Exhibit: Art of Virginia Maria Romero

Virginia Maria Romero presented her solo exhibition at Galleri ArtSight in Stockholm, Sweden, from May 20 – June 4, 2023. The exhibition brought together a collection of Romero’s distinctive contemporary works, highlighting her continued exploration of symbolism, instinct, identity, and the emotional relationship between human and animal forms.

Centered around her expressive visual language, the exhibition featured many of Romero’s recurring figures—wolves, birds, elongated creatures, and stylized human portraits—each functioning as symbolic reflections of vulnerability, intuition, resilience, and transformation. Through layered compositions, muted neutrals, and moments of vibrant color, the works created a dreamlike atmosphere that invited viewers into a deeply personal yet universally resonant narrative space.

Presented within the intimate gallery setting of Galleri ArtSight, the exhibition allowed visitors to engage closely with Romero’s paintings, emphasizing texture, gesture, and emotional presence. The opening reception drew strong attendance and positive response, with visitors immediately connecting to the emotional and symbolic qualities present throughout the collection.

The exhibition further positioned Romero’s work within an international contemporary art dialogue, introducing her evolving body of work to audiences in Stockholm while reinforcing her growing presence within the global art community.
